Portfolio

My design work is inspired by traditional print design as well as the most contemporary approaches. Of course, I always attempt to design in such a way that supports what is being presented rather than let style trump substance. Stylistically speaking, I am strongly influenced by mid-20th-century typography as well as the fine typography seen 200 years ago.

Client: American Health Facilities Development

Role: Designer (Creative Director: DJ Smith, Talstone Group)

American Health Facilities Development, LLC, is a firm that leads hospital boards through all stages of new facilities, replacement facilities, assembling and coordinating teams of architects, construction managers, and various consultants and buyers to create healthcare facilities that are built on-time and on-budget. The problem was that AHFD was percieved as being able to handle smaller projects since they have done so many of them, plus their audience was in the dark about the need for hiring such a time- and money-saving firm.

The copywriter and creative director developed the branding message "Where Innovation and Implementation Meet" to position AHFD as champions of hospital boards to lead them in facility development. My job was to create a classy sales brochure that illustrates AHFD's multidisciplinary approach as well as showcasing various projects as case studies that point out important outcomes and benefits of said projects.

I also created a sales folder and RFP shell so that they can each stand alone or all work together, using the same paper family with different finishes on each piece.
